This record series was designed for a music artist based on the songs Brave Driver, Gato101, and A 3(rd) try. Each record is supposed to reflect the mood and inner meanings of the song through the color palette and illustration theme. For example, since a 3rd try samples from women's comedy is meant as a reflection of gender the color palette of blues oranges, and yellows, as well as the illustration of the women on the front cover, is meant to reflect this. Since the songs are lyricless each inner cover contains a credit to the samples as well as a smaller print of the cover artwork.
Original sketches of the covers show the main theme and mood as well as preliminary considerations for type layout.
The sketches were then transferred digitally to refine each work and refine the concepts, the original concepts for Gato101 were changed drastically to fit the illustrative theme of Brave Driver and A 3(rd) Try.
After the main themes of each cover were established the inner covers were developed to mirror the color and type treatment.
