100 Video Games is an informative catalog of 100 video games representing 7 major categories including genre, storage space, time played, price, multiplayer status, ESRB rating, and release date. The poster layout and visuals are meant to invoke a hybrid between a transit map and a computer chip. The lines are the main guiding factor to find information on each game and its place within each category.
Initial concepts of the poster took inspiration from different types of graphs and data representations such as treemaps, transit maps, and sunburst pie charts. Further wireframes show the direction of a more computer-based concept of a motherboard and later a Gameboy cartridge on the inside substituting several parts for components commonly seen on motherboards and other types of circuit boards.
The final concept showcases a roadmap of each of the 100 games each categorized by the respective lines connecting both ends of the infographic.
